Elyzza is at the age now that she wants to do everything on her own. So I found a really simple chore chart on simplemom.net made especially for 3 year olds. I am hoping that this will help her learn how to accomplish simple tasks from start to finish in a positive way and help me not to nag and get angry when she doesn't do them. The chores are things like putting dishes in the sink, making bed, picking up toys before quite time, and putting away the silverware. So far she is doing really well and is excited to draw her own smiley face on the chart when she completes a chore. At the end of the week we will count the smiley faces on her chart and she will get a dime for every one. Then she has 2 jars one for saving and one for spending. The pic of her on her bed is after she made all by herself for the first time. I was so proud of her. Sad to think I have never had her do it before. Tucker has a chart and a jar too. He is a little young to really understand how it works, but its always good to have him mirror good behavior from his sister. Wish me luck!
